UFC 301: Pantoja vs. Erceg Set for May 4 in Rio de Janeiro

UFC 301 has been officially announced for May 4 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event will be headlined by a flyweight title fight between reigning champion Alexandre Pantoja and challenger Rogerio Bontorin.

The announcement was made by the UFC on Friday. The event will take place at the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro. This will be the UFC's first event in Brazil since UFC 237 in May 2019.

Pantoja (25-5) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Manel Kape at UFC 283 in January. He has won four straight fights and is undefeated since losing to Deiveson Figueiredo in 2020.

Bontorin (17-3) is also coming off a win, having defeated Gabriel Miranda by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 219 in March. He has won three straight fights and is undefeated since losing to Pantoja in 2021.
