Aqua Security Uncovers Critical Vulnerabilities in AWS Services

New Research Unveils Cloud Security Risks

Aqua Security, a leading provider of cloud native security solutions, has released new research revealing six critical vulnerabilities in Amazon Web Services (AWS) services. The vulnerabilities were discovered by Aqua's cybersecurity research team, Nautilus.

The research team disclosed the vulnerabilities in February 2024 and responsibly reported them to AWS for mitigation. At the Black Hat USA 2024 security conference, the Aqua Security team presented their findings, highlighting the potential security risks posed by these vulnerabilities.

According to the research, the vulnerabilities could allow attackers to gain unauthorized access to sensitive data, disrupt cloud services, and execute malicious code within AWS environments. Aqua Security recommends that customers running applications on AWS take immediate steps to patch their systems and mitigate these risks.
