No. 13 Wake Forest upset No. 1 Stanford in a thrilling women's soccer match on Thursday night at Cagan Stadium in Stanford, California. The Demon Deacons scored the game's lone goal in the 82nd minute to hand the Cardinal their second loss of the season.

Wake Forest's Rachel Suyematsu netted the game-winner, capitalizing on a rebound off the post from a shot by Olivia Wingate. The goal was Suyematsu's second of the season.
